Local School Leadership Council (SBM)

The Local School Leadship Council includes representatives from Westwood Charter’s administration, staff, teachers, and parents who meet monthly to manage most matters pertaining to school operation, including budget, curricular issues, safety concerns, and physical plant issues. The LSLC is an important part of our school site decision-makingand is a shining example of how the Westwood Charter community works together to make our school the special place it is. Generally, LSLC meetings take place on the second Thursday of each month. Members of the Westwood community may attend LSLC meetings as guests.

LSLC parent members are elected by the school-wide parent body to serve a one-year term. Elections are usually held during the first school month for terms beginning the following September. Elected LSLC members attend LSLC meetings and have the opportunity to work with teachers and administrators to represent parent concerns.
